Let me ask you a question, have you ever stayed silent when there was something you wanted to say? Have you ever held back from making a change or taking a leap of faith, afraid of what might happen if you did? If your answer is yes, you’re not alone.
For the large majority of my teenage life I steered away from situations that made me feel unsafe. I was constantly wired for caution and refused to leave my comfort zone. As human beings we are meant for growth and adventure. We were born to live a life full of meaning and purpose. Hidden within us lies all of the courage we will need to succeed in this world. However, for the large majority of us we still haven’t learned how to access our full potential.
I know where you are at right now. I have spent much of my life learning how to find courage and rise above the fear that robbed me of my happiness and freedom. What you need to understand is courage is a skill. It can be learned and it can be mastered.
Everyday when we walk in the presence of fear, we slowly diminish its power and begin to grow our own. Throw yourself into situations that make you uncomfortable. Accept that failing is a critical component that will contribute to your success.
When we begin to experience moments of incredible courage and fulfillment, our mind starts to forget the fear we once had. It starts to remember the courage we had once forgotten. You never need to feel afraid as courage is always resonating within you.
Feel the power of the moment. Take hold of it. Remember it. Own it.
