Why You Are Not Successful Yet

Back in 2010 I was playing video games for 8 hours a day. I devoted a third of my day to my Xbox and poured my heart and soul into mastering Call of Duty. By the time I was a freshman in college I was ranked in the top .5% of players in the United States. Whenever I am confronted with a challenge in life, an obstacle, I always think back to my years playing video games.

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. I’m a firm believer that we get out of life what we put in. Nobody becomes great without work. Hard work is always the baseline of great achievements. Nothing spectacular comes without it. Stephen King once said “Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.”

Failure Is Not An Option

Why are people so scared of failure? When did we start believing failing is bad? You may respond with the obvious answers - it makes me feel unworthy or hopeless. It prevents me from getting what I want. It moves me further away from what I desire. These all may be accurate answers in your current mindset, but they are the furthest from the truth.
